In a similar fashion, ‘Wanted’ adverts in the Classifieds section of your local newspaper may be the perfect way to find your dream car, and it’s relatively hassle-free – you simply compose your ad, pay the fee, and the rest is up to the newspaper readers.
If neither of these suggestions has gotten you any further on the search, you may want to investigate employing the help of a specialist dealer or acquisition service. Dealerships generally have a good idea of what cars are available on the market, and will probably also have an idea of private owners in the area – particularly if they have bought the car from the dealership or have had the car serviced in the area.
